Last week, I wrote about the importance of books as a tool to better understand how to judge works when amassing a collection. Collecting is a mental game — a puzzle — assembling pieces and finding others which no one knows exist.
As far as the first generation of digital/ computer art is concerned, the market is not etched in stone, values are fluid, difficult to determine, and locating works can be challenging.
In other words, scarcity is an issue.
